Creating a workflow with an Approval status trigger

What is it?

An approval status trigger paves the way for chaining approvals. For example, if you have two approvals for a document you can create a trigger such that when these two approvals have been approved/rejected it will then do an action within a workflow.

How does it work?

First of all, you need to have an approval workflow set up, if you do not know how to do so then click on the button below.

Steps:

Once you have set up at least one workflow that requires an Approver, then navigate to the workflow tab in your template and then click the "New Workflow" button.

If you wish to name your workflow click on "Rule setup" and name your workflow using the textbox on the right-hand side.

Next, click on "Set enrollment trigger" and choose "Approval status". Once done so click on "Add new approval".

Then choose your "Approval Workflow" and "Approval Status".

After click on the blue + button underneath the "Trigger" box.

Add your action, for this example, I will add a document label. And ensure you save your workflow by clicking the "Save" button.
