MassDraft provides a robust contract generation and management platform that caters to various business needs. One of the key functionalities within MassDraft is the concept of "Deals," which offers two distinct methods for contract generation and execution: Mass Generation and Docusign Deals. Understanding the differences between these two options will help you choose the most suitable method for your workflow.

Setting up Mass Generation Deals

Overview

Mass Generation Deals enable users to create multiple contracts simultaneously based on predefined templates. This is particularly useful when you need to generate standardised agreements in bulk, saving time and ensuring consistency. To set up a Mass generation deal, click '+ create a new deal' button when on the MassDraft page and choose 'No' for Docusign. You can learn here how to set up deals in MassDraft. (link here)

Key Features

  • Batch Processing: Generate multiple documents at once using pre-configured templates.

  • Data Merge: Auto-populate contract fields using input from spreadsheets or databases.

  • Template Standardisation: Ensures uniformity across all generated documents.

  • Manual Review and Distribution: Users can review documents before distribution.

  • Download and Share: Once generated, documents can be downloaded, printed, or shared manually.

Ideal Use Cases

  • Sending offer letters to multiple job candidates.

  • Creating invoices or purchase agreements in bulk.

  • Generating standardised NDAs for event attendees.

Setting up Docusign Deals

Overview

Docusign Deals integrate with the Docusign eSignature platform to streamline contract execution. This approach simplifies the signing process by sending documents directly to recipients for electronic signatures. For deals that need to be e-signed in Docusign, you’ll need to set up the signatories. Click '+ create a new deal' button when on the MassDraft page and choose 'Yes' for Docusign. You can also enable post-date the document after e-signature at this stage. You can learn here how to set up deals in Docusign. (link here)

Key Features

  • Seamless Docusign Integration: Automates the process of sending contracts for electronic signatures.

  • Real-Time Tracking: Monitor the signing status of each document.

  • Secure eSignature: Ensures legally binding agreements with verified digital signatures.

  • Automated Workflows: Reduces manual effort by routing contracts to the appropriate signatories.

  • Cloud Storage: Signed documents are securely stored and accessible within Massdraft and Docusign.

  • Post-dating: Enables users to configure post-dating Docusign fields in their templates which are filled with the correct date the user specifies after execution.

Ideal Use Cases

  • Obtaining client signatures on sales contracts.

  • Signing vendor agreements with multiple parties.

  • Automating HR processes such as employee onboarding documents.
